This year’s Resogat Conference will be held July 9-13, 2025 in Wilkesboro, NC at the Holiday Inn Express. Wilkesboro is situated in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is home to a thriving music community. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby and the mountains are just a short trip away. The internationally known MerleFest is held in Wilkesboro each year.

Tim Scheerhorn to be honored at 2025 Resogat
Occasionally someone comes along that radically changes an industry or makes a lasting impression on art and music. Tim is one of those people. From the perspective of a tooling engineer and musician he brought about profound changes to the Dobro. His primary motivation was to improve the instrument to a point where it could be heard in a jam session. Tim not only developed an instrument with better projection but also a unique and contemporary sound profile as well. Tim’s Dobros have been played by the best known musicians in the Dobro world. He numbers Mike Auldridge, Jerry Douglas, Rob Ickes and many others among his clients. Their musicianship and Tim’s instruments have defined the modern Dobro sound.
